Exhibition: inVisible – The Portraits Of The Trans Community in Romania // Bucharest Pride

InVIZISIBLE Exposition // 9th-14th August // Apollo111 The Bar

‘InVISIBLE’ (‘InVIZIBIL’) – 20 portraits, 20 places, 20 people and just as many life stories carefully curated, which speak of the different aspects of living as a trans and/or non-binary person in Romania. The exposition is built around these stories, and the photography becomes an auxiliary support which channels the feelings and personal experiences of the ones that were photographed.
The opening will take place Tuesday, on the 10th of August, starting with 9 PM at Apollo111 The Bar. With this ocassion, we will find more about the importance of the visibility of the trans community from some of the ones that took part in creating the artistic project. The evening will continue with the lovingly chosen rythms of DJ Octavia.

The event is organized with the support of ACCEPT, within Bucharest Pride (6-14.08.2021). This year’s theme is ‘Come out. Speak up.’ In 2021 we`re celebrating 20 years since the repeal of the Article 200 of the Penal Code, which criminalized homosexuality, and together we take a look at the evolution of our rights and communities over the last 20 years, trying to build together an inclusive and secure future for everyone. We are together again, building safe spaces in which our identity is being celebrated.
