Outdoor Activities @Pride Park

For three days (August 11-13) we celebrate the queer community and queer culture outdoors, at Roaba de Cultură – Herăstrău. We have prepared a series of workshops, discussions and exciting events with activists and members of the LGBTI + community in Romania in order to have fun and enjoy  this edition of Bucharest Pride together.

Schedule:

Wednesday, August 11 – 17:00: Come Out and Paint – Coming Out is one of the most important moments for people in the LGBTQ + community, full of stories about truth, courage, love and trust. Come out & Paint invites us to express our thoughts about this moment on paper, through painting or through words, so as to give courage to others or to reassure them. We will paint, share our tips, draw inspiration from other people’s stories and display them on pieces of colored paper at Pride Park. Event organized by Alexandru Botea.

17:00: [H] umans United / fingerprints [20 years in 20 meters] Hlgbtq United –

The Hlgbtq United team brings a canvas and  skin friendly paints to Pride Park and invites  us to play. If this year we are talking about the importance of visibility, we can do this symbolically in this activity by imprinting the canvas.

17:00: Great Rainbow Minds by Cazul101 – We are pleased to announce Hortensia Mi Kafchin`s solo show “Great Rainbow Minds” which is part  of Bucharest Pride 2021. With this exhibition the artist highlights the subject of queer personalities  who have changed and shaped the culture and history of mankind.

18:30: FluidYoga in Pride Park (with Ral Bratu) – We invite you to a yoga and meditation session, in which we learn through moving our body and observing our thoughts how to celebrate and love ourselves as we are.

Thursday, August 12 – 16:00: Sports4pride by Q Sports – Q Sports organizes a fun afternoon with sports and blankets. We will play football and learn a new sport, speedminton, a combination of tennis and badminton.

                          17:00: Come Out and Paint

                          17:00: [H] umans United / fingerprints [20 years in 20 meters]

17:00: Great Rainbow Minds by Cazul101

20:00: Talking with the enemy of the Polish government – Bart Staszewski by Greenpeace –

A discussion with Bart Staszewski, a Polish LGBTI + activist and documentary filmmaker, as well as one of the organizers of PRIDE in Lublin, Poland, which faces attacks and protests from right-wing extremists every year. Because of his fight against homophobia and his act of exposing far-right politicians, who declared several Polish cities “LGBT-free zones”, Bart became “the enemy of Poland and the Polish people”. We invite you to learn more about this struggle and to debate together about the importance of activism in the current context of Eastern and Central Europe. Moderators: Alina Aflecailor & Denis Blidariu, Greenpeace.

Friday, August 13 – 5pm: Come Out and Paint

                              17:00: [H] umans United / fingerprints [20 years in 20 meters]

17:00: Great Rainbow Minds by Cazul101

17:00: Eye Gazing Workshop with RENGLE – The eye gazing exercise is an exercise about intimacy, connection and closeness. It is said that the eyes are the window to the soul: the moment we look into each other’s eyes, prejudices about appearance disappear and we learn to look at each other in an authentic and sincere way. Thus, in this workshop led by Emil Rengle, you are invited to look into the eyes of a person you do not know and feel the unique connection that is formed between you.

18:00: Stories from the time of Art. 200 by Identity.Education – Identity.Education Timișoara invites you to a relaxed discussion about how things were for some of us, back in the 90s. During a time when Article 200 was still claiming victims in the literal sense, we were there, unknown, silent. Let’s talk about how things used to be. Guest speakers: Cristina Săracu, Marian Zamfir-Enache, Florin Buhuceanu and Andreea Stratulat.
