Pride Park Fair

For three days (August 11th-13th), starting 17:00 o’clock, we are going to celebrate queer culture and the queer community, open-air at Pride Park Fair – a fair meant to bring together, from the big cities of the country, NGOs’ representatives fighting for the rights of the LGBTI+ community, publishers who support and publish queer texts and queer small businesses.

You are welcomed to visit the stands of the invited organisations, festivals, publishers and queer businesses: Accept Association, Pride Romania Association, the Super & ART200 Film Festivals, Cutra Publishing, Pagini Libere Publishing, Hecate Publishing, Black Button Books Publishing, ROGVAIV (artisanal candles business), Jargon Trans (clothing business).

Additionally, during Pride Park Fair there will also be a FreeShop available, thanks to the help of Transcore, where anyone can bring clothes and accessories they do not wear anymore. The items will be displayed and ready for adoption by anyone who can find them of good use. Trans people especially are more than welcomed to join and confortably look for items that fit their gender expression.

ARAS are also invited and thanks to their support we organise a testing centre for HIV at Pride Park, Wednesday to Friday, starting 17:00 o’clock. With the ocasion of Bucharest Pride, ARAS launches the Pride Testing Week initiative, where the testing center Checkpoint ARAS Bucharest will be open for the LGBTQIA+ community for one full week. This year you can get your tests free of charge, anonymously and confidentially at Checkpoint, for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C. Monday – Friday: 14:00-21:00 at Checkpoint ARAS (bd. Eroii Sanitari 49, appointments at 0751 010 539).

Withal, ARAS will also be present at Pride Park Fair, where you can get daily testing during August the 11th-13th, starting 17:00 o’clock.
